Prioritising Network?

Can I make my network prioritise some programs over others? Don't know how to exactly explain it. When I'm downloading stuff with uTorrent, I can't really play multiplayer games as they lag so is there a way to make my internet provide enough connection to the game before giving it to uTorrent?

No. I'm pretty sure online gaming doesn't require 10 Mbits of connection, so I'd like uTorrent to get what's left.

Can't do number 2 but I'll try number 3. Didn't know I could do that.

Once Big Telecom has their way, you sure can.

Well the is such things as QoS etc but when trying to game they really won't do much for you. It might make some difference but not a lot.
