[No Retards] Cicada 3301
Many of you MPGH users may have heard of this puzzle before. If not you can search it up.

The puzzle restarts each year around January when the group, Cicada 3301, releases the first part of the puzzle. They often release it on this random twitter account: https://twitter.com/1231507051321

Since the next puzzle should be starting soon, I've decided to try to get as far as possible. Knowing myself, if any other members of MPGH want to help out, that would be nice. I will be continuously updating this thread if necessary with new findings and etc.

A collection of parts of previous puzzles is on this wiki: http://uncovering-cicada.wikia.com/w...ng_Cicada_Wiki

You can use it to see how the puzzle works.

@Psychotic

Anyone else wanna join and help solve dis?
Yes I heard about it.Also at the end of the puzzle no one hears about them, and they are sworn to secrecy,

Here is part 1 of the puzzle, I will try to solve this puzzle but I am scared to find what happens at the end, It is believed that a secret government takes you in to do a whole bunch of secret projects, but only the brightest can do it, since only the brightest can solve this puzzle.
Or this is a brilliant serial killer that takes the brightest and kills em?

Let the games Begin!

Lol that makes more sense know. Here is a picture of it, and what it looks like on the clue.

Also when you solve a clue they take you another, and may require you do things in real life, like go to a coffee shop to get something that has a clue on it, etc etc etc.

I actually want them to try, if they haven't already. It's much harder than you think.

Also the organization that makes this is rumored to be large and international. At one part of the puzzle, there are GPS coordinates given. Those GPS Coordinates span all over the world, and each exact place had a small Cicada 3301 poster hung up with the next clue to the puzzle.

Think of the habits of the bug, a cicada. Cicadas tend to hide (underground sometimes) and reproduce in large numbers, then all come out at once.
what if webdriver torso is cicada

That was already proven that it was Google uploading those videos, and Google admitted to it.

Kind of. The first clue is actually in the file of the original image. If you decode it (as in break it apart into assembly language and shit) and run it through some program, the result is a string of letters that can then be tied together to form an onion link.
I love following this shit.
I'm gonna watch this progress. Not gonna have time to help cos of exams and shiz.
Cicada puzzles are to hard for young people like us, there solved by like old geniuses
