Steam thief?

Alright so a friend of mine had a knife and a nice m4a4 on cs go in his inventory and wanted to trade him. This morning it was still perfectly in his inventory, but when he came back home from school both of them are gone, which is a loss of 65$. I agree 65$ is not a huge loss but it's not nice at all. Apparently some guy controlled his PC or something, because the thief made a trade offer and accepted it with his mail from his IP. This happened to another friend of mine before, but I don't know who stole it anymore. He contacted Steam Support but they don't want to give him his items back. Is there any way he can get his items back?

By the way if it would help, his steam profile is this so you can ddos him, dox him or whatever the hell you want.

The only way the person could have taken over his computer (that I know of) is if your friend had opened and exe or something. If your friend did open a program then it was most likely a rat (remote administration tool) which basically gives him control of everything on the computer, steals all passwords that were entered into the computer and can watch every thing he does ect. The safest way to get rid of a rat is to reinstall windows. If he didnt open an exe or anything then I dont know how the hell he got hacked. Hope this helps

Thing is they are saying that they never did something like that, they both runned malwarebytes and found nothing, together with some other anti viruses :/
