Ideal Donation System

Ideal Donation System
While I've been brainstorming the donation system for Phoenix II, it's always made me wonder what this community thinks is the most ideal system for donations. To make it a little more specific, a donation system for a medium to large scale server project that would be enough to rack in around $40 to $80 a month.

A few categories I'd like to hear about:

1.) "Kabam-Style" Complete P2W. Plenty of servers do this but it's not as easy of a solution as one may think... doing it the wrong way may end up giving you a huge spike in donations one month and receiving but a few dollars the next.

2.) "Wildshadow-style" Mostly aesthetics or fun things, a few gameplay advantages. This is the path that I plan for Phoenix II and it's not an easy path to make good money off of. It's mostly creativity-based seeing as you have to come up with many special aesthetics or non-gameplay advantages that people would pay for.

Microtransactions (realm gold) or not? Donation ranks? Administrative powers for money?

I'd like to hear what you all think.
Thank you for sharing

I would think that the "Wildshadow Style" is the best way in my opinion, it would take some hard work but
it will pay of eventually and will be much appreciated by the players and the donors and will make them want to stay and
even donate more.

As of the microtransactions I would say realm gold only, best way of a player to donate.
I believe that giving donors a rank makes them want to abuse their powers and take advantage of them. (Surely some people will be honest and fine, but just some)
instead of buying items and shiz i think wildshadow style xD
fun items like beach ball :P
For Phoenix II, I planned to employ a system of microtransactions as well as a "donator" membership system. Cloths, skins, effects, etc. would be used as possible purchases as well as an extended gold feature in our guild rework.

I quickly brainstormed a monthly donation system that would involve money paid per month to gain several benefits such as special aesthetics crates, chat visuals, and weekly gold and other goods.

Aesthetic pets were taken into account for single-time donation, and (weak) healing pets were also somewhat considered for monthly payment.

With this being said, I also planned a way for Realm Gold to be attainable by non-donating players, however it wouldn't be nearly as easy or efficient as simply donating for it.

Heck, I'd love to go full-out anti-P2W, but bills need to be paid and if I can find little advantageous things here and there in the system design to make a buck, I will do so. What other ways can you people think of for possible aesthetic or gameplay-boosting donation features?
If you wont sell admin powers - server will go well for long time.

Not really

Just get 10 people to buy it. They stay on and spawn crap for everyone. No money generated from that to help pay off the VPS

That's a bad idea if you want a stable and solid server.

Well that's will happen if you sold admin powers unless they were like $80 and with a monthly recurrance payment/donation

No matter what donation recognition will be needed for anything to work donation wise I believe you might get donations but not as much as if the only thing you gave them was a tag.

Otherwise everything else is debatable and up to you
