MUST LEARN Programming languages for 2015

Alright, I know that there's a Programming Section here, but it's totally dead and this is a general discussion topic. Which languages do you think are a MUST LEARN for 2015 ? Also if you are a total novice which language would you prefer to learn as a start off ?

What I am planning to learn this year are:

Python (Apparently this is a MUST for coding robust apps)
PHP
Improve C++ skills

I would love to see what you guys think, also Swift would be an interesting option but since I do not own an iOS device nor a Mac it's out of the list.

I know right, I live in a country where 1 out of 100 is a true programmer and even here web programmers and designers are making a lot of profit. Python apparently allows web development too. So it's a good language to add to your resources.

yea.

look at which silicon valley companies actually make a shitton of money (hot hardware companies etc)

companies like apple make web browsing devices (google do that too) because they know that in the future having a fast processor yourself will be pointless

Python is pretty easy to start
C++ is necessary
Java is a must
As3 is fun to mess around in

I mean a lot of aspects starting from easy to learn and use to offering a wide variety of extensions. When you define something as "robust" you actually mean that it's a great choice. At least that's my point of view.

That my opinion

Considering the job positions for Java programmers are actually INFINITE. I would love Java but since its syntax is practically identical to C#'s it doesn't really attract me.

Java.

It's like a tutorial on how to make building blocks. You don't need it 100%, but it's good to know it just in case.

Yeah but it's a popular language. I just pick popular or rising languages.

I'm surprised nobody did mention JavaScript or Ruby. Oh another thing that would be fun to play around with IMO would be an old language like BASIC or Pascal.

Ruby isn't that well known to be discussed anyways. Generally, the more experience Runescape Private Server developers use Ruby and Java, but the lower down guys use only Java.

Language doesn't matter, only the syntax really changes. Ability/Skill is what really is important.

IMO what matters most is how determined someone is. Nothing is really impossible if we put our mind to it. Hard work always pays off.

I would say Java is becoming a big hit now.

C++ and Java are pretty close IMO, and both necessary.
Python is super high level, very weird.
And web development, I don't really like, but I should learn.
