Hey. Long time no see, right? Lately, I have seen some posts about scams including a reply to my thread, so why not update this!
First of all, i wanna thank you all for the "Thanks" i received on the last two posts! *hugs*
Now, with no more introduction, let's start!

Gambling Scams:
Story: These post are about people that pretend to have "discovered" a bug on a gambling website. They tell you to go on a website, deposit your items, and then type a command in the Browser Console or modify a cookie or whatever.
Truth: It is their website and there is no command. Once you deposited your skins, they are gone...

Hacks Scams:
Story: Someone posts a thread about a cheat. Usually scammer don't attach the files, they place a download link.
Truth: They most probably don't even have the cheat... it's just a scam.

Malware: EVERY attached file gets scanned by a staff member. The scan process is strict.
From what I know, they need to perform a antivirus scan on the file and then run it on a VM/another computer.
Overwatch "Bypasses" (Drivers/Hardware): Doesn't Exist! Overwatch is not even an Anti-Cheat, it is a community-controlled ban system.

Steam Scams: Thank you [MPGH]Color
Be careful! People can send you PMs/Group PMs even if you are not friends with them.
Make sure to check if that person is actually your friend before trading with him.
People can impersonate your friends asking you for items.
Be very patient and pay attention. Scammers might be smarter than you think!

### How to report people ###
First, read the rules! Don't report someone unless you are sure he committed an infraction.

1. Report the post! Use the report button to report it
2. Mention the admins! You need to post a comment with the following text:

### Making cheat trades ###
I heard some of you got scammed on Skype or other Live VoIP/Chat services.
First... don't make 2-man trades with some unknown motherfucker on fucking Skype! For crying out loud goddammit.
Here is my idea of how to make these trades: (THIS IS MY PERSONAL IDEA. PLS DON'T BURN ME IF IT'S BAD!)
Get a Middleman. You can request a Middlemans here.
Middleman are trusted users. They are all picked by [MPGH]Liz based on their application.
List with some of the Middleman.
List of Middleman impersonations.
Middleman Process Explanation.

Middleman trades go like this:
1. Both of you send the item/hack/money to the middleman.
2. The Middleman sends them to the respective one.

Example Scenario:
Billy: Sells a hack.
Joey: Want's to buy the hack.
Billy and Joey don't trust eachother.
They get a middleman, Mark.
Billy: Sends the hack file to Mark.
Mark: Tests the hack on CS:GO while started with -insecure parameter
(-insecure flag => Disables VAC)
(Some middlemans won't want to test it, just ask him anyways)
Joey: Sends the money to Mark.
Mark: Sends the money to Billy.
Mark: Sends the hack to Joey.
Mark: Deletes the hack because he mostly doesn't give a single fuck about that piece of shit

### Checking users rank ###

How to check a staff member:
1. Check his Name! Staff members have a RED/BLUE/GREEN/LIME MPGH tag in front of their name!
Example: [MPGH]Dave84311
Example: [MPGH]arunforce
Example: [MPGH]Symmetrical
Example: [MPGH]Color
Exception: [MPGH]Liz She has the Princess Badge therefor she has a pink name.
2. Check his Number of posts! No one will be accepted as a staff member without 800 posts!
3. Check his Banners! Staff members have a banner on top of their avatar that significances their rank!
DO NOT trust anyone with a staff banner in their avatar! Report them immediately!
4. Check their Reputation! Staff members usually have their Reputation >40 !
5. Check their Join Date! Staff members are usually 1 year old on the forums.



How to check a middleman:
1. Check his Name! Middlemans have a MAGENTA MPGH tag in front of their name!
Example: [MPGH]FanticSteal
2. Check his Number of posts! No one will be accepted as a staff member without 800 posts!
3. Check his Banners! Middlemans have a banner on top of their avatar that significances it!
DO NOT trust anyone with a middleman banner in their avatar! Report them immediately!
4. Check their Reputation! Middlemans usually have their Reputation >40 !
5. Check their Join Date! Middlemans are usually 1 year old on the forums.



How to check an user:
1. Check his Number of posts! If they have ~2 posts and try to scam, then they should buy a life...
2. Check his Banners! Users usually have "MEM LVL <level>" if they are normal users!
DO NOT trust anyone with a staff banner in their avatar ! Report them immediatly!
3. Check their Reputation! Should be >10 if the user is known. I have still 10... no one loves me... *tear*
4. Check their Join Date! Well, if they joined yesterday then they must be really bad at scamming.
5. Check their reputation on the forums! If people like him and he has a good reputation, he may be trusted for FREE published hacks.



How to check a website:
This is all common sense...
1. Check it's popularity.
2. Check it's SEO Ranking (look it up on Google/Bing/whatever)
3. Check the design, if items update automatically, etcetera.

You can avoid getting scammed on paypal by asking the buyer to give you sharescreen while doing the transaction. Only to make sure that he will send Familly & Friends Gift (skype) .

Optional you can ask him to add a note like : "I *his name* am paying for xxx with 30 skilzzEuros . I am aware that this is a virtual product and I cannot ask for a refund under any circumstances. "

Paypal is not getting involved in trades with virtual items .

There are two things i think could be added.
Under checking a website, there are fraud website checkers designed to specifically check for scams. Just googling will result in a number of these.

There's another type of scam commonly used in steam trades and it involves paypal.
Whilst trading items for paypal, often some scammers send an invoice so it shows on your account as the payment has been received with the amount specified but your balance never changes. To avoid this wait until your balance has been bumped up to the amount you were trading for and ensure it was sent as family and friends.
I lost a $300 knife to this method

I've been scammed once and tried to be scammed like 3-4 times.

This forum is like a scammer's nest.

i just got scammed by a dude called pashatriceps here so be careful boys

People need to be cautios, when people are selling fast and with very little details
