Okay, because I didn't want to open another thread, I'm gonna post in this one, hoping that you people are willed to help me out
Like OP, I played DayZ Mod (for Arma2CO) in the days prior/equal to
1.8.3 and enjoyed writing scripts for my personal use to "enhance" the gameplay with my buddies (not that godmode shit everyone did, but funny things, like spawning bases with vehicles in it etc.).
But I only used them on
non-battleye servers, so I didn't need to be wary about any bans or the like.
So I came back to play with my buddies.
The first thing I did was to "import" my retail-version of ArmA2CO into Steam due to given circumstances and installed DayZ-Mod.
Everything good so far.
The thing is: I don't know if I have to be wary of VAC now.
The method I used to inject my cheat menu was to overwrite a certain string in the memory which executed a script upon pressing a certain key.
Because I had nothing to fear from Battleye as long as I joined servers without it enabled, I didn't have anything to worry about.
But how is it situated now? Do I need a bypasser for VAC so it won't detect my Injector or will it be okay nevertheless?
And don't forget, I don't need to bypass Battleye because I do
not attempt to join secured servers.
