How to get OP on Minecraft Servers

I posted this in giveaways, so I might as well post it here. Title says it all. This does not involve social engineering or the book/sign force OP hack. I have tweaked this method a bit too to make it a bit easier.

I've also explained how the hack works and how you can prevent it happening in your own server. Please note that this doesn't work on all servers.

quick tip, if you don't want to bother messing with that pentest website, just download nmap itself, its free.

Could aswell just Nmap the server and check if ssh or ftp ports are open. If those are open just launch a dictionary attack on those ports and wait until you get a hit. That way you don't have to put in so much effort and don't risk the admins seeing your IP since you will use proxies while attacking.

I keep getting errors, followed the instructions perfectly. Am I missing something? Sometimes I get "disconnected". Can anyone confirm this works?

If any of you manage to find a server, it would be appreciated if you could post it here so we all could go wreak havoc on it.

I found one server, griefed it with a friend, then it got patched the next day :/ It's really hard to find a server, took about an hour to find a vulnerable one.
