Martial arts Anime

Can anyone give me some good recommendations for martial arts anime. Nothing like bleach or naruto and doesn't have to be well known. It could also be really old anime. I'm just getting bored of the known animes and want something new for once.

What kind of martial arts anime are you looking into? Just a single character using it, or the entire series is based on martial arts?

Okay. Well, I don't know much anime that is strictly martial arts and no other weapons/magic, but maybe try Katanagatari.

Ippo is an anime about boxing but still a great show. I think you'll like it. ANother show with a similiar plot, but has martial arts: Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi/ KenIchi: The Mightiest Disciple

Definetly going to give Mightiest Disciple a try but the other two i read the manga already. But i'll give them a try bc who knows, maybe they're better than manga itself . Thank you everyone for giving me more recommendations

Anime wise: Katanagatari and Sword of the Stranger are my favorites.
(but there are a lot of good samurai anime like Champloo or Ruro-Ken).

Manga wise: Tough, Shamo, Tenjou Tenge, The Breaker, Veritas, Baki Son of Ogre, and Vagabond are great.


I honestly don't know how anyone reads or watches Kenichi. It's awful.

YuYu Hakusho is battle shonen. It's the same as HxH.

I totally agree with you and tbh, i'm watch kenichi the mightiest desciple also cuz of them ecchi stuff lmfaooo, but manga wise i read evyerone of the ones you requested and they are also my favourite. Thanks for the recommendation regardless . The animes i'm still watching katanagatari and it's fucking awesome.

Just re-watched it myself. If for whatever reason you seem bored, just hold out till the final episode. It is by far the best ending I have seen in anime for quite a long time.
