MOTDgd Addon Ad skipper

How do I edit this so when it detects addons\motdgdadverts it runs the function?

function MOTDgd.GetIfSkip()
	chat.AddText( "Ad skipped" )
	return true	
end

run something to receive net messages.
once you have the message about the motd / ad / whateverthefuck use some sick codens to not view it

I have the "sick codens" but I don't know how to do the receive net messages part :/

When I run this on a server with motdgd it works fine, but when I join a server without it I get script errors for it not recognizing the function
