PC opinions
I'm about to buy a pc

I need your opinions my dear
I have a few choises:

  • Intel Core i7-4790 processor
  • 16GB Memory/RAM
  • 2TB Hard Drive
  • 120GB Solid State Drive
  • NVIDIA GTX 970 Graphics

Solid, strong, good graphics card, decent processor, 1300 euros

Next:

  • 4.0 GHz Intel i7 6700K quad-core processor (Turbo speed 4.2 GHz)
  • 16 GB of DDR4 2800 MHz
  • 1000GB (1TB) SATA-III 7200 rpm hard drive storage space
  • NVidia GeForce GTX 950 2GB

Good processor, bad graphics card, 1100 euros, no SSD.

What do you guys suggest?
I'd go with the first one, it is quite better, and the price isn't so different.
16GB RAM is a bit overkill imo.

Why is that?
@QLK why do you think so? @RiceAndDice I actually thought the first one was better for productivity as it has a SSD installed aswell
What gives you reason?

Mostly because of the processor
Same with hydra, first one seems like a better choice.
I honestly think the second one you posted is better.
1st one for gaming
2nd one for productivity
Change to i5 and go for the first build

An even lower grade processor? Why?

It doesn't mean that the performance will decrease. It doesn't matter what the version is there could be an i5 that is and insanely better than the i7.
Spend the 1300 and you can always just get more RAM later on if you really want to.
I would go for first one with reduction of RAM into 8GB
Go with the first one. Also i'm pretty sure i5/i7 have similar game performance so maybe get an i5 to save money and with the RAM, 8GB is fine and can upgrade in the future.
