Help About iTunes

I can't transfer anything to my iPhone without syncing (Look at picture)
however I can do it to my iPad.
It's giving me the circled X.
Sorry if I post in the wrong section I'm unsure where to ask help from. Since I have a MPGH account thought you guys can help me out.
Whats the problem?

You can't put the file because it's a VLC file, it either has to be mp3, mp4, m4a and all those good ones.

He uses default launch program to open it with as VLC..

OT: If I know enough, then you can't directly like add them like that, there must be a way

did you do YouTube search for your problem?

Try using not using the default program.

Well last time I can put my files into my iPhone. My old ipad still can but now my iPhone cant even transfer files/music/ringtones/books.
