VAC Bypass
Had some time over the weekend and decided to take a closer look to see what can be done about the "steam connect failed" message that VAC- banned players are getting. I was surprised to find out that there are some serious vulnerabilities in the way call of duty validates its players with steam. Long story short, I was able to create a patch that will allow you to play multiplayer despite being VAC banned.

What this WILL let you do:
  • Join games in online matchmaking
  • Play solo private matches

What this will NOT let you do:
  • Create parties
  • Host lobbies
  • Join other friends

There are some limitations to what you can do, since there is no way to create a valid steam lobby as a banned player. You can however, join other players hosting "VAC- secured" servers.

To use, just inject the .dll file.
After injecting you will be able to enter the menu and join a game.

If this was helpful to you, please say thanks.

How does this let you join online matchmaking but not friends? Other than that, good job.

VAC prevents you from creating or joining steam lobbies (a.k.a "steam connected failed"). But steam lobbies and steam game servers are a completely different thing. This just lets you use IWNet to find a server. The joining friends feature depends almost entirely on steam lobbies.
/Approved. Post back results and as always, use at your own risk.
You say this will let you join games in matchmaking, but I am pretty sure you can't. Since you don't connect to MM servers, you're not going to be able to find a match.

Edit:
If it isn't my internet being bad, then can confirm that you still can't play MM with this.

As far as I can see, this is no different than all the snippets already posted on several threads.

Edit #2:
It seems to connect to lobbies, but I have yet to encounter a legitimate and normal lobby.

I've just checked myself. It does in fact connect to MM servers but he was right about joining friends or hosting lobbies. Found 17 lobbies and connected fine.

??
There is never a time when the game is not connected to the matchmaking servers. I know the file is working.

Thats strange. Antivirus blocking the file for whtever reason?
It's not my antivirus, file is also placed on the desktop to avoid any permission problems.

I'm going to try reinstalling MW2 and see if that resolves it.

Reinstalling the game didn't help.

Think I know whats going on with that. I'll wait to hear back from the moderator about modifying my post with an updated download link.

Thanks a lot! Can't wait to get back on MW2.
Em I'd like to know how to inject it since when I try to inject it with Sharpject it shows me the message that it's not a valid PE Dll. Please help me, thanks in advice!
