Might found a way to do cheat engine again

I have actually not tested this as my internet connection is kinda slow but pretty much all of the game's versions are all up on torrent sites. Perhaps if you do like this it might work.

1. Right click Properties via steam on DBD -> Updates -> Never keep this game updated.
1. Download an older version of the game
2. Backup current DBD to desktop or something
3. Put the old version in the steamapps/common folder
4. Launch
5. Click cancel when you see the launcher
6. Start cheat engine? Do what you need
7. Put newest version back

It should still use the same save folder. Can someone test this ?

You failed at the beginning... you can't disable auto-updates now.

but thats an idea you know, its actually pretty smart, so instead of trying to bypass the EAC, we can try to figure out how to launch the old version without steam updating it

No it's not. Since even if you will find out how to stop updates you will play only with bunch of same cheaters who found out how to use same old version.

There was thread about how to play DBD multiplayer for free with crack but it was removed for some silly reasons.. just search "Dead By Daylight 1.0.4 Cracked (+multiplayer)" on YT, link in video description will help.

But if you can launch the pre-1.0.4 version you can just use cheat engine on the local save with steam cloud save disabled. Then switch back to 1.0.4 using your edited save, so it's clever if it can just launch. All the local saves are cross version compatible going back to beta.

will CE work if you stop EAC from running ?

EAT is what blocks CE from detecting dead by daylight in the first place, bypassing the EAT will make CE works

, but bypassing a cheat engine is not an easy, probably lots of people already did it, but they won't share to the public or their keeping it for their private cheat which you need to pay for

you're probably right, to the OP, tried to do it it's a complicated process and since they added extra support for whoever replaces profiles or game files, so replacing the whole game with another version is VERY RISKY. , I might still try it, just don't want a risk a ban since this is actually like so obvious that you're doing this to bypass, not to mention steam does update automatically.

Most probably that's a dumb question, but, can't you just move EAC files from Dead By daylight? Sorry if that's too dumb for you xD

I tested on the above mentioned release and hitting cancel on the launcher does not work. The game does not launch.

is it worth it tho? even if you can move your progression to other version, you won't be "basically" bypassing the new version.
so you won't get the recent codes etc...

The idea would be to:

1. disable cloud upload
2. install cracked version
3. copy over save file from live version
4. edit bloodpoints and level up on cracked version
5. copy back save file to live version

The issue is the version mentioned above 1.04 does not work with the old bypass method. When you click cancel the game does not load at all.

So do i need to find a cracked game below 1.0.4 and then move my account over or.... what do i need to do?
