Maybe you are locating it wrong? Like I do it also, I have to hacked clients one in desktop and one in a file, so select the one in the file from global settings, and try to open the freaking desktop client, which of course doesn't work.
Still cant get it to work :/

If the location of the .swf changes, you have to do it again.
Also I'm pretty sure you can just use the .exe version that people release of the clients and it wont deny access to it.
i dont think there is a .exe client in fabianos source as i cant find it

Oh didnt see that, ya pservers dont have one..
But you can convert the swf to exe with a program like JPexs free flash decompiler
(or any program that allows that)
if i open the new .exe it just open adobe projector and is a white screen

Uhh, if the window size is the same as the .swf window size, then I dont know.
But if the window size is bigger in width and smaller in height (default window size, doesnt match the .swf) then it could be a problem with the converter.
I know that because I accidentally corrupted a .swf and when I opened it, it (obviously) didn't open because important data that was needed for it to open were altered / deleted. Which could be the case with the converter you used.
Moved and file approved.
Go download ORAPE hacked client EXE and put that on desktop, then open your private server client swf with JPEXS and press save as EXE, then find the Orape client you saved on desktop and save it ON that, if you get what i mean.
