How to develop further?

Ive been studying c++ for a little while, not really focused on only learning for game-hacking, I want to learn the language in general, with as subgoal game-hacking. And I started to code cs:go hacks. And Im just getting nowhere. It doesnt matter how many books I read, tutorials I watch or how many sources I look trough. I can`t get anything more than a bhop cheat. If anyone has been in this "slump" and got trough it, can you give me tips on how and where to start. Ive tried so hard and I got a pretty decent understanding of c++, but I just cant get anything done in game-hacking.

i need to learn how to make a thick pink glow for os x in xCode.. Can anyone help me? I have the glow already and its green and eventually goes bright red after losing enough health. PM me if u can help
