    Angry Infraction

    What is this.

    https://image.prntscr.com/image/5b918...71901a156c.png

I wasn't bumping, he wanted to confirm that it's me on my thread. If I was bumping, I would've said bump.
There's a reason why I also left Skype logs in the reply too.

If I wanted to confirm with someone, I would've done it by VM but the buyer wanted to confirm on the thread so I did so.

And if you're infracting me for conforming that they are talking to the seller, that'll be %30 of the marketplace threads daily that needs to be infracted.

I'm really disappointed you're disputing this.

How is this not a Marketplace bump violation?

If we allowed for users to simply confirm they're speaking to someone on Skype every time they are then users can arguably bump their thread anytime because how would we verify if they're actually confirming they're speaking with someone? Often you see it in threads "Speaking with you, <username>" which is no different than what you've done in your post as shown in the screenshot.

Furthermore, your "OFFICIAL" BUMP since you don't consider that bumping your thread was here: https://www.mpgh.net/forum/showthread...1#post12089236 (7 Hours Ago)

Your second post is here: https://www.mpgh.net/forum/showthread...1#post12089482 (6 Hours ago)

and the post you were infracted for was 2 hours ago and is as follows:

    Yes you are!

[8:01:54 PM] (Syntact): yeah its $347
[8:02:32 PM] (Syntact): never done a buy4u how do you do it?
    [8:02:38 PM] FanticSteal™: That's the item total
    [8:02:41 PM] (Syntact): yes
[8:02:42 PM] FanticSteal™: Not the gradn total
[8:02:56 PM] FanticSteal™: $350 has to be below the grand total
Do you think it is fair if you get to just confirm you're speaking with someone as an indirect bump of your thread instead of using private messaging (OR EVEN VMING???)?

You're claiming that what makes a bump a bump is when you physically type out bump? Alright so if any thread is bumped with random characters or "//tooshort" then I suppose those aren't technically bumps either.

Of course, this is a staff dispute so I can't immediately close this. You have, in my opinion, justly received this infraction for bumping your thread before 24 hours. Directly or indirectly there are other forum functions that permit you to confirm you're speaking with someone on Skype. I have done my fair share of warning and infracting individuals active in the Marketplace for the same offense because just because you don't say BUMP doesn't mean it doesn't bring your thread to the top making it unfair for other sellers. Every seller is expected to only bump their thread once every 24 hours.

I never asked him to confirm with me on my thread, nor confirm with me at all but he wanted to. He already posted on my thread saying he's talking to me and asked me to confirm with him. The only thing I did was reply to a question on MY thread.
As always, when a buyer wants me to confirm with me that it's the real me, I always ask for VM.

This buyer posted it then told me to confirm it.

Never said it wasn't a bump. The example you stated isn't supporting anything related to the thread. The reply to my thread was to a question to the buyer.

Again whether it's a question or something as simple as confirming a Skype contact it can be done in other ways and is considered a bump.

If someone just posts "added you" is that not a bump as it's a reply to someone?
If someone just posts "thank you" or a variation of, is that not a bump as it's a reply to someone?

Your just making more examples for what bumps will be considered. Me replying to someone asking me to confirm isn't the same meaning as the examples you've provided.
It'll be the same as someone asking if they've added you or not.
Your meaning of bumping would be this way. "Yes you've added me. (Infraction)" and "No you haven't added me , what's your Skype? (No infraction)".
They are both the same meaning to confirm and I see them everywhere at the marketplace.

If you're going to infract me on the grounds of Bumping my own thread with my simply conforming with the buyer, I can tell you 5 threads off the bat that are directly bumping and not dealt while I got infracted for replying to a buyer.

You're doing your job great, but infracting me (new thread) vs a thread with 3+ bumps within 24 hours per day is ridiculous. (old thread)
I can find you 50 threads in less than 1 hour that violates your term of 'bumping'.

Go report them and I promise I'll deal with them equitably.

Infrwction stands. I'm not getting into it. You have infracted for the same reasons and guidelines as Psychotic here during your time as staff here. You should know better.
