The mayan calender ended on 2012 because as they got to that date they were invaded by the Aztecs

Nostradamus predicted on 2012 a disaster will happen (not the end of the world) and he kept on predicting till 3526 because he apparently "couldnt see" past that date even then he said that that wasnt the end of the world

it's not actually 2009 right now. over the course of history, our calender has changed from lunar to draconian, the dark ages happened empires fell. and so when the mayans predicted this date. they are probably off by... five to fifteen years. it's true so the world would have ended already.

Yes, you are correct, but the fact that they weren't involved in the calander change proves that there(mayans) "2012" is not our "2012".
