CP Raise/Nerf

"Trainers,

We have made adjustments to the CP (Combat Power) of various Pokémon. Some Pokémon, such as Alakazam, Rhydon, and Gengar will have their CP increased. Others will have their CP lowered. These changes will allow a more balanced and competitive battling and training experience in Gyms. We will continue to adjust the CP going forward to improve the game balance when necessary."

I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing.
A lot of the good Pokemon have been nerfed while some of them have been boosted up.

They didn't specify, but I've noticed the following that dropped on my account (I don't have all Pokemon registered):

They dropped? I was half expecting their CP to increase, considering the fact that they are rarely used in gym battles.

From what I heard, they didn't change the CP manually, they just altered how it's calculated. They even increased CP of Vaporeon.

The Pokemon that increased for me:

Vaporeon, flareon, jolteon, Eevee, gyarados, snorlax, kingler, krabby, Taurus, shellder, cloyster, abra, kadabra, alakazam, beedrill, weedle, butterfree, caterpie, electabuzz, voltorb, electrode, fearow, spearow, gengar, haunter, gastly, geodude, Graveler, golem, jynx, machop, machoke, machamp, magnemite, magneton, mankey, primeape, marowak, cubone, omanyte, parasect, paras, rhydon, rhyhorn, scyther, tentacruel, venomoth.
