Refund Activated MacBook or iPhone

Hey, I got one iPhone and MacBook from apple.com recently. Just found on the web that apple.com can be refunded. Is there any chance to refund activated apple devices? Will they block them in this case or probably send the police? Has anyone tried doing this?

Chance of blocking I think is high when you use the item before the refund.
Better odds getting something else again and refunding that + selling.

return them, say they came in a few days late if you need to match there 14 day return deal. Then buy again and refund
