Boosted Board?

What is a boosted board?
An electric skateboard : basically a skateboard with motors

Price:
$1,500 USD+

So, I'm deciding on whether I should buy one or not.

My reasons to purchase one would be:
1. Fast alternative for transportation (I usually walk, or skateboard regularly.)
2. Fun
3. Could be used to get around easily

My main step backs about buying one would be the price, and real world application.
I do have enough to buy one, but I feel that it would be a giant burden (waste of money) later on.
I also don't know if it's really useful in my area. (only buses, and trains - places are spread out)

A friend had one and had problems with the battery, maybe it was bad luck

My friend has one, there pretty cool. Probably not worth $1500 but still cool af.

They're not worth $1500. Get a longboard for like $100, it's a lot more easy to transport. The board weighs heavy as fuark and the battery is shit making it unreliable for transportation. Only thing it's good for is entertainment, but expensive entertainment.

They aren't worth the price tag, if they were cheaper then totally.
It's only useful if you go out everyday and never leave a city, take Casey Neistat for example, he never really leaves NYC for anything because everything he needs is in the range of the Boosted Board, meaning it's pretty convenient.

Its the best electric board on the market.

Good concept I guess but not worth the price.

Get a moped for longer trips around the city and carry your regular board with you for short ones

I don't think it's possible. They ask for proof and to send the item back I'm pretty sure, at least that's what I heard. Second opinion on this anyone?

1.) Good for busy city area
2.) Good for HEAVY travel
3.) Not good for all day usage (casey has multiple boards)
4.) Not worth the price
5.) Very heavy
..... so take your pick....

There are cheaper ones that'll you can buy that'll do about the same.

Not possible - a friend tried to "SE" a battery for his board, and they asked for the entire board back. They're a small company so basically one guy personally sends the board out to you. (My friend bought one legitimately, but wanted a 2nd battery..)

It's not that heavy but it's heavy for a longboard. I would basically use this for my daily travel to campus, home, and other places.
Price is yeah, expensive. Still haven't decided.

Yes, but they all have cheap ass remotes/connection that will affect the riding/safety of the board. I've been doing some research on some boards, but the cheaper ones obviously do have cutbacks.

Regardless if you're getting a motorized longboard. Get the boosted board. Not convinced watch this video by Casey

The fact it disconnects on low end boards, stops slower, etc no thanks go all in or ride the bus
