He is right not to start mining, but not in that ETH will burn. If you start now you could maybe make a bit in the next 2-4 months, but you would definitely not pay off the card and after that you won't make anything significant. If ETH is going to take off even more( I think so), then mining will be only for the big players. Also these calculators are guessing best case scenario.
