I liked the idea of a mining anime, never seen anything like that so I decided to check the first episode out and was pretty impressed. I'm hoping it gets much darker later down the road and the unique art style was a nice refeshment from the norm. Could be a hidden gem.

If looked at it and decided to skip. Might try it out some time.

I say try the first ep and drop if you didn't enjoy.

I SLEPT ON THIS SHOW. DON'T SLEEP ON IT. Finally watched the series and I wish there was a s2 now. First episode starts off slow but the mystery and adventure starts slowly after that.

wtf are you talking about episode 1 was amazing and it went down hill from there. I droped the show at episode 8, the pacing was so slow I couldnt handle it anymore.

It's all about world building and learning what the abyss is. Guess it isn't for some people. You missed out on some of the best episodes. 10-13 were especially amazing. Looks like you dropped it at the wrong time.

Episodes 6-8 were all in the same location talking to that white whistle chick about stuff we already know and had one of the most dissapointing endings to an episode (were it just ended after seeing the white cube) pacing was far to slow.

What i expected to see in this anime?
Adventure and fantasy.

What i got?
Only death awaits for you in the Abyss.

Don't open if you haven't watched it:

Spoiler

For me, this anime is candidate to be the anime of the year. VERY GOOD, man that episode 10 made me cry, but that EPISODE 13 MADE ME FUCKING CRY A LOT.

I'm sad the manga has been on hiatus for so long.
