Well a 144Hz monitor updates 84 more times per second than a 60Hz monitor so it makes everything feel much smoother
Hello guys, I'm Alice a new member of this forum and I want to know about the gaming monitors refresh rate. Can anyone tell me that the difference between 60Hz and 144Hz refresh rates and also tells the visual effects of the monitors? Thanks in advance.

144 hZ refreshing each frame faster than 60. 144 hz is batter. I have 85 hz monitor and after that I can watch 60 hz monitor. For eyes
Doesn't matter if you think you can tell the difference or not. Any true gamer can tell you higher refresh rate is a clear and distinct advantage when it comes to super frame perfect competitive gaming.
An example of this is an indie game that I help build. We limited the framerate to 90 to prevent people with high refresh rate monitors from having an advantage over others. I personally played at 60fps, versus 200fps with a high refresh rate monitor. The difference was a big of enough factor to actually pay attention to.

You can get a better performance not by just CPU Hardware, but with the monitor too, the most common error is using an old monitor with like 60hz rate, and still not running games smooth, so, yeah, as you can see on those videos you are getting best frames in your eyes, not just the CPU.
Everyone I know that works with a 144hz+ monitor says 60hz monitors just don't seem smooth anymore. They feel like it lags 24/7
144 hz are more expensive, because you can see 144 fps for a second.. IMO these monitors are only for gaming, if that isn't what you're doing, it's not worth of buying it. These monitors are most likely for FPS games like CS:GO, COD, Battlefield and etc.
Currently have 75hz, and even tho its 15 difference, I can tell a small difference already. Its worth it probably.

I've been using a 60hz monitor for quite some time, and I've never had an issue with it.
yeah 240hz is the shit, even though i never actually tried it cause the monitor in my local electronics store is hooked up to a gtx 730 via hdmi so its just 60hz which is the worst way to sell something which just differs by the higher refresh rate
but who am i to judge, theres prob a really good reason behind that
