Family Sharing in DbD

I don't know where to ask this, so I'll just ask here. If I were to cheat through family share on DbD with an alt account, would my main account also get banned?

Yes you would get banned on both accounts if you are using familyshare.

Devs request the ban, Steam apply the ban:

The current VAC rules for Steam family sharing are:
- a borrower's VAC infraction also cause a VAC ban on the lender's account
- VAC banned accounts can share games excluding titles they have been VAC banned

DBD is NOT a VAC supported game. It is only guarded by EAC so if you get banned, it is purely and strictly a game ban on that one account. My brother got banned from DBD a few months after it came out and steam shared from that account still, was still able to play it just fine.

So to summarize there is no VAC , just game ban that blocks ability of creating or joining lobbies. But the question is if game ban is possible to be applied on account without game (shared) and if yes will it be also on main account.

If your banned on DBD and you share your banned account with your smurf then you'd still be banned.

That is correct answer. So if someone wants to do something fishy in dbd , do that on second account so you are not risking ban.
