Depends on what you use your laptop for.
When i compare macbooks with other laptops, i find that the macbook and the acer aspire e 15 e5-575g-57d4 rougly has the same specs (better in some terms) and cost 3 times less then a macbook with the same specs.
So don't you guys think macbooks are super over priced.

HAVING VIRTUAL DETOX
My MacBook Pro is a fucking champ. Had my MacBook since 2013 and after years of endless amounts of hentai and torrents I've downloaded, it still works like it does on day one. Hasn't slowed down at all and battery is still good.
If I had a Windows laptop, it would have imploded years ago.

They're really overpriced, but they're really practical for daily use. Even though the specs aren't that great on paper, and there's tons of laptops that are more powerful, IOS is really optimized for the user. I'm honestly fine with my macbook that weighs like 3 pounds compared to my old brick gaming laptop.
Macbooks are expensive because they cram a lot of hardware into a tiny form. In technology, being able to shove stuff in tiny cramped spaces = $$$$$. Also the build material, Macbooks are more comparable to laptops like Lenovo Yoga 920 or HP Spectre.
Everyone gets caught up in the build quality but it's really about macOS and the overall experience it provides. Nowadays at least from the end user's point of view, there's a bigger difference between macOS and Windows than there is iOS and Android.
The computer no, the brand? Yes
Macbook was designed for people who have little to no experience in IT. If you know what you are doing you will always get more value out of basically anything else.
I would not recommend a MacBook ever.
