Time to make realistic save files! *PLEASE READ*
Since the devs are putting saves on their server's side soon, wouldn't now be the time to make realistic save files? With saves on server side, devs can review our progress at any point, and they probably will as soon as they get hand of our saves. It's like accidentally turning on Steam cloud and getting banned after 12 hours. This is a wish to those people who create save files which look "legit." Save makers please help us on these.

If you are really that _______ and you have to edit your save, consider these things.

What we DON'T NEED:
- We really don't need all perks on top tier especially the shit perks like Predator for killers. Maxing out all perks on one character takes more than 500 hours of gameplay, what more when the devs review your save and they see ALL characters' perks maxed out?!
- We do not need those extra 10 million bloodpoints if we decide to max prestige all of our characters. 1 million BP is enough just reserved for future character releases.
- We do not need legacy skins and all those exclusive bullsh*t. People like to collect this stuff, but the risks of getting banned are very high, is that piece of clothing really worth the ban?
- We definitely do not need 500 pieces of every item and add-ons. I guess this is self-explanatory. Maybe 14-18 pieces of items that are classified as rare and above and the limited edition items are enough for us to enjoy. All the other commons and the ones that are rarely used can be set down to 3-5.

What we PROBABLY NEED/WANT:
- We probably want to have all/some characters maxed on Prestige level.
- We probably need the powerful perks on top tier.

That's basically it guys. We really do not need all those excessive bullsh*t. We probably want to cheat because grinding's a pain, but definitely not to excess our stuff because that increases the chances of getting banned. The simpler it is, the more realistic it will look like.

Well I wish for those save creators to help us on this, because I am not an expert when it comes to setting prestige dates and other factors that will make the save look more legit than ever.

I actually agree on the devs' move to lessen cheaters. I am actually a cheater myself and now I realize that I never had fun after I cheated. People call this game toxic but in reality the players who cheat are the ones who make it toxic. In contrary, I still hate grinding so I guess a little bit of cheat is arguable, but excessive shit? F*ck no.

*Moderators, please pin this if you can so everyone can be aware on how to avoid getting banned.*

Bye
Hure was banned though, and using a banned person's save is maybe not the best idea... Consider this: People that used his save all have the same prestige dates and the like. It's very unrealistic that a bunch of people would all have the same times for prestiging a character. If I were to make anti-cheat detection, I'd set filters to catch things like that with EAC.

Also, I'd recommend against having even more than 2-3 of an item. Let's be real... most people don't have 14-18. One of my friends, who collects items, doesn't even have 10 of each... not saying you can't go above that, but it's better to err on the side of caution.

Lastly, although David Ze's editor was approved, I think it's possible the program leaves some sort of traces of use on a saved file. (Besides what the creator - David - said already about running the program on your computer can leave traces of the editor program itself having been run). For example - maybe EAC could compare the last time you ran DBD vs the last time the save was modified. If the times are different, you are save hacking.

I think based on your post history, you're the type that wouldn't admit you get banned when you do...

Anyway, saves will be server sided soon, and that'll lead to another huge ban wave... so even for people that aren't already flagged and on a list to be banned next, loads of people will be caught when that happens

Welcome to their Servers.
LOL My Hack Save File uploaded to cload.
They only transfer saves to online servers, they will not check them because it would take them a million years.

Nope, welcome/thanks to informatics.
Do you really think they will create a script to check the number of items and how many of them have too much = ban?
The same with BP, unless someone set a bonus like a 10 billion.

And the rest I do not care. As someone who added legacy and other things, let worry.
I´m running with steamcloud the whole time from i have this game with my hacked savefile and no ban still so i guess my savefile is legit enough
