Sleeper Anime

What are some anime you all think are really good, but aren't really popular or highly praised?

I have a list I made I'll have to find it.

To be honest, I have no idea why SAO is so under appreciated and badly rated.
I liked it, but it was my first like.. "real anime", if you consider I've not seen more than 5-6 episodes of Anime before that.
I did not like Death Note, that thing was a real fcking mess to get into, tbqh.
Was so confused for the first 5-6 episodes of that shitty Anime. Granted Anime isn't really my style.

This thread isn't about sao but I agree, 2 of my first anime series I watched were Angel beats and Akame ga kill. Angel Beats is good,
but Akame ga kill is super edgy and pretty damn bad but it still has a place in my heart.

I never said this thread is about SAO, I only gave my reply to the question you asked in this thread.

Black Clover people think the main character is annoying and the plot is overused but the story is really good and everything is actually amazing people need to love the show more.

I was indeed planning on starting this once I finish overlord and Log Horizon.

Haikyu is one of my favorite sports anime since the first season was very successful and there was a lot of thrill that came out of the anime. Shokugeko no Soma Kun is another hype anime that i am currently watching right now.

Haikyuu was indeed one of the better sports anime; the only problem I saw with it was how it was extremely predictable and anti-climactic. I really enjoyed the arc when they traveled to that tournament and met those other teams and eventually got better over the course of a few days, but during the matches it was insanely predictable; which to be fair is going to be extremely hard to get around for a sports anime.

Parts of it was predictable and the story like in it as in how they progress was on par but for the most part not bad for a sports anime

As I said it's one of the better sports anime, but the whole "I'll dig deep and prove everyone wrong with my strong will and feelings (shoyo) type of character progression kinda gets old; basically naruto in a volleyball anime. The animation and OST are good and like I said some of the characters progression is exceptionally good, specifically Tsukishima and Asahi. In a nutshell it's a must-watch if you're a fan of a sports anime, and a fan of the protagonist never failing and winning it all.
