Outdated Checker | Question for minions
I know any external connections are prohibited, but if I would have implemented a feature, which would only check MPGH for update, would it still be considered against the rules?
Example:
The .exe is signed on date, ex. 23/12
The .exe will look at MPGH, and then see if there is any updates since then. Ex. Update came out 30/12
It will notify the user and link him to the thread
If this would be allowed, I could try and make it open-source so anybody else could implement it. This is mainly for safety of the users.
We have sites, which can clearly check which websites are being open, I use reverse.it for this. If we could allow this, a reverse.it scan could be required unless the mods check it manually. This would be great...(If this is allowed I will hopefully launch at start of the year, with opensource in coding section if I am able to make it
