Need a tut for taking off fog,flash, etc

Ive tried for hours and yet nothing. All i know is that it is loacated in the FX folder. If anyone could help me with this it would be much appreciated.

well i guess i deserved that facepalm

um u cud try edit the fog and flash files so that when it loaded the fog and flash files they were transparent so it wudnt do anything... eg if u went into snow valley and u edited the fog to be transparent (see through) it wudnt be fog anymore.... it wud be more like... air? and for flash all it does is cover ur screen in white and slowly fades away u can just make that transparent so it covers ur screen with... air? nuthin? so u can still see and as for the sound of flash that defens u u cud just change the sound to be ....silent? then it wudnt do anything either. but i tihnk for sound it stops all sound effects and then gradually turns sound effects volume back up to ur setting ... but i dono for sure
