Coding

Hey all wanted to get some input from some of you on the different coding languages. Im currently in college doing general education, and I have no idea what I want to do for a career lol. I've always thought coding was interesting and was wondering what the best/easiest language to start with just so I can get my feet wet and try it out just to see if I enjoy it before spending a lot of money on classes.

Hi Dave,

C# is good places to start. Visual Studio 2017 has a free community edition that you can use, it supports practically anything the professional versions support.
Another good start would be Java, it has had the biggest job market, but with the advance of .NET core I think we might see a slow shift towards C#.

Nope just have an interest in it but dont wanna start paying for classes then end up hating it so figure id try it on my own first lol

Learn PYTHON and R it will help for your future.

c++ if you have a dream or planning to be a developer in gaming companies for exemple

It's easy to learn python but the problem is you should be consistent and code everyday

Actually I was for a month then I stopped
You don’t need to spend 2-3 hours daily initially start with 30min per day,gradually increase the time and then once you learn the basics start doing project and understand how others coding works..try this for a month fix a time and then you will see the difference.mistakes,errors are important,learn from them and try to reduce them as you progress,for example if you get a error don’t simply rectify it,find the reason behind it @hokko.

grab one of those lynda accounts my man. im sure someone on here can help you with that.. if you're worried about the "payment" side of it. its worth learning. not just for cheating sake but for programming in general

How do you guys even get the stream of motivation to keep on coding everyday >.>?

I was about to say you are an old bastard, but I just recently turned 26 so I am not too far behind... Started coding at a young age because I got beat by cheaters in CS 1.6, it was interesting to me what they could do.
