I think I may have solved the mystery here. Look at the screenshot below, it's 001's x28 client. Take a good look at the bottom credits. Notice the last 3 names? Well one is Crinx, who has already been confirmed one of the individuals behind the infected client. Then there's elisrael, I bet this is Bert from the dis-cord posts from earlier (he's already suspected of this). Pert could be 001, but also not. Doesn't matter since there's also the case on why the infected client and 001's client are very similar in size while the previous legit CC releases are over 2MB larger.

CC by 001 are clean.
I love how the hackers come back to boast about it on other accounts
