❓ Banned

Hello,
I just got banned. I yesterday edited my savefile (2k of every addon, maxed out perks, NO prestige and NO legacy) to hag, freddy and hunter and I used eac by pass and etc., all was working, the EAC didn't launch. I played for 2 hours and then I went to sleep and I just woke up and see an account notification and guess what, I got banned. I didn't use any wallhacks/speedhacks or something similar. I'm 99% sure that it's because I modded my account, I will maybe write to support an email to know why I was banned. So to guys that said "THEY DON'T CHECK SAVEFILE AND IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MUCH ADDONS DO YOU PUT", there ya' go, proof for ya. Anyway to get the ban lifted? Also, I played dbd for 250hrs and I purchased it with a credit card, anyway I can get back my money somehow? Maybe contact the bank and say "I didn't get what I paid for" or something similar? I spend over 50€ on this game haha, not a small amount of money, if I won't be able to use this "item", why do I have to pay for it x). Thanks for the answers guys. Now, moving on to the next account and buying dbd there! haha.

Also, not to forget. I never used DLC unlocker, used it only yesterday. Maybe that's why I got the ban. But I used the old steam version and etc, don't understand why did I get the ban.

They apparently started banning people for save files surprisingly, I didn't believed it but alot of people said that. You cannot get your ban lifted because they have evidence of you using save file. Also you cannot get a refund for the game lol

They checked your save file, as loonye said. You were reported and because of that report you are banned.

They said in a dev stream that they got a team that is investigating reports and that seems true I think they started banning people from reports

When did you purchased dead by daylight?

Dude it's 2 years ofc you cannot get a refund what so ever

thus I guess if there is a need to mod a save file, it would be to discreetly add items at a "believable" amount and not a huge amount so as not to raise suspicion..

or would it be better to just not mod it at all?

If you want to be sure don't mod it at all
The moment you mod it and get checked doesn't matter what you will get banned if they want... Seems they got a team handling reports

Will i get banned if i used only DLC unlocker and haven't got any extra addons,skins or perks?

Not until it will be detected (it's a bit unlikely to detect steam crack)
