SO.. I have a fair question to the smart clever boys out here on MPGH.

I am wondering why DECA is not creating a system to control whether if items are duped or not.

I know for the fact It will be hard.

But if every single item had a unique ID or something...

EX

1 Dagger.. Has the ID 8392731#123
And someone dupes the item...

THen he suddenly has 2 items with the id "8392731#123" which should send a red flag to deca.. about the item being duped, and should instantly start an investigation..

So... For every new item from drops/buys at store..

Each item has each of their unique id... but if somehow a item is duped..There will be 2 of the item with the same id.. and deca could easily catch up on the boy duping?

It was just an idea, that crumbled to my head.

This idea has been suggested numerous times in the past and would take to much storage space to actually be implemented

This has been discussed about numerous times on different forums. They would not do that, for obvious reasons. As of now, they have implemented a automated reply system and the players make most of the sprites and dungeons. Do you think they would want to invent time "investigating" dupes? Of course not.
Rather, they can simply ban you and give you no explanation to what you’re banned for. Don't bother. Based on this information it's safe to assume duping (methods)

will not get patched, at least in the near future.

I think that is terrible by the fact that they already tried to fix some of the cheats/bugs/exploits... They should employee more people.. to up the security of the game. Obviously it is the only way to prevent duping I think. And the game have always had that problem. Not many people knows how to dupe. So them having to IP BAN What so ever would be one way of doing it. WE all know the dupers uses vpn. But anyways.... At least they show some will power to actually stop the ingame items to loose value.

Hiring more people to to patch the exploits for a flash game would be like trying to fix a sinking ship by buying more buckets to get rid of the water.

I just think it is stupid that they are not doing anything to it..

Game is doing fine with mass cheating, why fix?

Would be a pain in the ass to catalog every item. Multiple people have already suggested this before, haven't you thought about why DECA has not implemented it yet?

It is what they want to do, however won't be properly looked into before unity port is closing in on being done.

Item IDs should have been put in the game years ago. you don't need to catalog every item that already exists, people are fucking crazy when it comes to thinking of solutions to this. only new items should be put with an ID and simply keep the existing ones untradable or something.
It would literally fix the whole game

It IS a big investment but duping is also the biggest issue the game faces right now, item economy balance only sucks because of duping, we have people leeching money off the game with stupid sites easier than ever because of duping, etc.
What I'm saying is : people normally just spit on ideas like Item IDS because people can't get their minds around what is necessary and what isnt.
Why. the. fuck. do people think it's required to catalog items that already exist. Everyone thinks it would happen, and it shouldn't.
It would literally legitimate duped items. Instead those should remain soulbound, and newer ones get listed with numbers.
