Messing around with instruments
Recently i bought a midi keyboard and an electric guitar i'm using phase shift for the guitar and synthesia & ableton for the piano

I wanted to learn how to play on a keyboard/piano because of L'lmpératrice & some Ghibli and guitar because of Mac Demarco and Nirvana

I'm trying to learn both instruments but i'm not sure where to start or what i should watch/read to learn how to, i cant afford classes and i dont want to take classes i just want to spend some of my free time yall that know some mösic stuff send some tips & also some nice music
There are great beginner lessons on youtube for just starting out, which can definitely help with the basics and fundamentals; like learning how to use your fretting hand, how to properly pick, how to properly transition your fingers up and down fretboard etc. Getting the fundamentals right can really speed up the learning process, and allow you to play what you want faster. Past that, just practice and learn new songs from tabs, mess around and write your own stuff etc. Guitar is one of those instruments where you can really develop your own playing style that's unique from anyone else.

Simon Smith has some great videos for both beginners and experts:

I used youtube videos to learn most things I know on a guitar, just look up the song and there will be a guide. Reading guitar tabs is easy too as it'll state the note, so maybe look at learning some of the simple notes.

Agreed. Pretty much a tutorial for any song you would want to learn can be found on youtube. Tabs can be found just by searching them up.
Why not take classes? It's not a waste of time especially if your teacher is cool. I took piano lessons for 15 years, it was like an hour+ break from life. Having a physical class can help much more than a video, and lessons aren't very expensive depending on where you go.

I literally countered what he said and simply gave insight on lessons? I can read, thank you. Glad you boosted your post count.

I played piano for 3 years already and I took a class lessons.
If you don't want to take a class, you can learn most of the basics on YouTube (Actually, I don't know which one is a good one for you).
Or you can read this free eBook for Piano Beginners: https://ixn.es/Piano%20for%20Dummies.pdf
Honestly, it is a good eBook that explain most of the basic of musics (How to read notes, Piano pedals, Beats, Clefs, etc.).
The way I've taught myself is by playing other songs using the guitar. So as to learn chords. Five to ten minutes each day at least, a couple of songs. Then expand on songs you play for more chords. Then in between that accuracy training is also good.

Same could go for the piano.
The best way to learn is to tinker and fiddle.
I "learnt" to play the guitar online. It's not that hard. (I had previous knowledge of music. I was taking classes for piano for 7+ years. The best way are the classes but your choice.)
