Noobest question ever

I like to go in the scam report section and read some of the threads cause it's fun to read.

A lot of these threads are about "SE" and so here is my question.... what does SE stand for lol ._.

Stop putting yourself down lol, its probably something you haven't ever seen before which is understandable.

SE stands for Social Engineering.

The general use of SE on MPGH is to manipulate the representative of a company to give you a refund on something you bought, such as saying the item was not delivered or the product was missing or whatever reason you have.

The second general use is taking a Serial Number of a product and claiming against its warranty and boxing (sending an empty box) to the company who will then assume the product went missing and will question you on it then provide a replacement.

Social Engineering is also used in real life, such as manipulating conversations with people to make them your friends and what not. There's some good videos on a guy who managed to get himself into some pretty exclusive events like the paris fashion week and a few others.

Its like all the refunding services or the services that contact a company to exploit their warranty/products (i.e. fitbit)
Any service where the person contacts a customer service rep to get a refund/discount/promo/etc.

Not only that but if you look at his post areas, he's normally just in CF so he has a reason to not know.
