Infinite Prestige/Item Exploit (WILL BE PATCHED SOON)

After the 2.5.0 patch a glitch was discovered which allowed players to insta switch characters (and also items) to get them prestiged for free.

BE CAREFUL -- The devs said in their latest live stream (19-01-24) that it will be fixed soon and that "..anyone using it should expect a ban"
The question is -- is this detectable in any way?

Since this is my first post I cannot provide the links, but search for:
"Dead By Daylight 2.5.0 Prestige Glitch *1/24/2019 Not yet taken measures.*" on youtube and
"BUG/EXPLOIT TO GET INFINITE ITEMS AND PRESTIGE FOR FREE" on the dbd forums for all the info you will need.

If you have any idea if it is detecteble feel free to comment below. I AM NOT LIABLE FOR ANY BANS, DO THIS ON YOUR OWN RISK.

They will ban everyone using this exploit, i don't recommend using it.

I'm really curious how they want to detect this. Im Not an expert but I remember that the save file doesn't contain any informations about a character how it was pre prestige. The devs probably just said "you will be banned" so people don't abuse it till it gets fixed.

How do you even do the glitch ?

Im curious, what do you mean with infinite items? the post was deleted from the forums

Press home or end key when you are filling the circle that gives you prestige, you should get the warning about prestiging a character and other killer in the background. this only works to killers that you have left or right from the lvl 50 killer.
Or you can search the title given in this post on youtube, it explains everything.

Yea but you can't switch with the keyboard to the other killer/survivor next to the one that you're prestiging

i feel like its like 50/50 chance to get banned, no one cant tell if they were just saying that you will most likely get banned so players wont abuse it, i still dont recommend to use it

I mean, there's no way to detect it, I'm sure they say it so we do not abuse it
