How do you guys stop procrastinating and start studying?

This is a problem I've had since high school. It was worse during my undergrad years and is still prevailing now during my post grad.

Its really affecting my grades. Help anyone?

I'm similar with you but with worse condition.
I'm repeating for a huge exam that I failed last year. I've been staying at home most of the time for the past 6 months. I should be studying but end up spending up to 10+ hours on Youtube, Social Media and gaming. Everyday just doing 2 hours of work.

It's pretty messed up for me as there's only 15 more days until my exam but I still have a lot of crap to study.
Yet I played League of Legends today too lol.

It just seems like time passes more quickly when you waste it.

Since I'm going through my undergrad studies right now I have less academic experience than you, but I'll try to help you regardless. Procrastinating requires a mindset change imo. If you have to do something, try to do it ASAP. I know it's easy to say but you have to consider that leaving things for later could create even bigger problems later on, like saying you're gonna start studying a week before the test lol

I don't know how I'm still in school

I have been working since I was 12 like +30h/week then senior year got worse like 50h/week and yes I wanna kill myself everyday because I work everyday. Imagine everytime you go to bed,you know you have to go work tomorrow. It sucks , stress and depression have become my best friends at this point

Best way to focus on just one thing is separating yourself from distractions, hence why testing is done with no phones or distractions just the test itself

Discipline. Easy to talk about but extremely hard to practise. Learning to embrace the grind of whatever it is that you're doing is how to be disciplined. Find a way to enjoy studying or incorporate reward systems while studying. There's no secret formula that someone can give you that'll somehow make studying easier for you.

So for example
15 min study and 10 min break or 25 min study and 15 min break
If you adhere to that for the day than set up a reward policy. If you fail, do a punishment; however, make sure the punishment will hurt you in a decent way, so you don't take it lightly.
Why do you need to study? Ask this first and foremost. Everything else is bullshit if you don't ask and understand this question.
Study with friends WHO CARE about their grades. Make friends with people who are smarter than you, consistently get better grades and overall are just better than you, sounds stupid but it really works.

There are online apps to help you with this. Also look at study tactics. I know this works because I used to get C's and D's in high school and I am now a mostly A student with honors and deans llst. However, the american school system is garbage, so grades don't reflect much.
