The 2 year bear market
So as some of you may be aware, there was quite the bear market around 2013 to 2015 (some of the younger members of this forum may not be old enough to remember these years ) whereby the price of bitcoin slumbed and there was minimal movement during that time.

We have been in a bear market situation since 2017, so any one else reckon that the market will start getting bullish around the end of this year to represent 2 years of bears?
Two years is what I am thinking also. Maybe end around August of this year.

The problem is that the pick up was accelerated by the news which acted as a catalyst pushing the price to 20k whilst the cryptocurrency was completely unregulated, whilst now we have the cfd's and futures and other ways to invest concurrently which reduces the volatility and therefore reduces the likelihood of a massive bull run like before.
I think the bear market is coming to an end. You can already see an upward trend forming (its slow) but its consistent (which is awesome). If roger verr doesn't fuck it up, I think we'll be gucci

Last I remember, didn't he sell off the rest of his BTC trying to artificially bump up the price of Bcash? Not sure what he's got left in the tank.

Roger verr is one of the reasons the price went from 6.5k (moving sideways) to 3.5k with the hashing wars. He had to have dumped something to buy BCH. He also fucked with all the bitcoin hash power. If only satoshi owned bitcoin.com and BTC.com this wouldn’t have happened. Those 2 domains is the only reason why he is doing well. Without those 2 domains, he wouldn’t even have a mining pool
It is a huge possibility. I mean, a 2 year bear market, with a slow increase recently could be very promising in many eyes. I guess only time will tell. Maybe its time to stop being cheap and throw some denero around.
I think we'll have a little move up in the next couple of days, after that a massive move down and from there on forward I think we'll see a trend reversal.
2 year bear market will turn into 10 year bear market

cryptos were sold on a ton of hype and shady bullshit

let's just say I have my reservations

Except the fact that so many huge companies are starting to support crypto. Eg samsung, nasdaq.
Crypto is definitely going to be pumped (again with shady shit) in the next financial crisis, just like investors did with China. Crypto is deff here to stay. Bitcoin is not.

Bitcoin definitely benefits from volatility in the real world, just like with the currency problems in Venezuela whereby they have massive amounts of inflation, so to combat that, people would use bitcoin to store their wealth.
it cost around 1 billion dollar for BTC to sustain itself with all the electricity and the miners taking profit
It took 3 years for BTC from 1k to get back up to 1k (2013-2016)

It could be a while for btc is to get back up to 20k again
Most TA people and traders are saying they expect a drop to 3k support then possibly a parabolic rise again to past 20k

I think that's hard to justify a statement like that. Remember the last time we had a 20k bull run it was due to the mass amount of media portraying bitcoin highly. Now that it's had a big crash, people are generally going to be more wary of it and less likely to invest. However, I will say that the fact it's around 5k still is testament to its longevity.
