FPS/Performance Boost

Hey guys,
the last csgo update came with a new launch parameter called "-d3d9ex".
Its a rework of an old parameter which doesnt really have an impact on performance.
This will not only lower your ram usage up to 40% but also inscrease fps alot (thats what many users reported).
In addition to this you will tab out/in the game almost instaltly when playing in fullscreen mode.
In conclusion: Its definitely worth trying the launch parameter out if you're playing on a lower/mid end pc.
Feel free to share your results + your pc specs (cpu, gpu, ramsize, (os)).

100% can confirm, increased my fps by 20-30 frames, but most importantly alt tabbing is literally instant for me playing 4:3 RES on CSGO.

Yes. you can still put it but like @AnarchistWulf said. Its on by default now.

yes. although it is worth mentioning that on some systems, especially higher end ones, disabling -d3d9ex might increase performance. As always, test what works for your setup and what doesn't. Also some cheats disable post-processing which is helpful on low end systems, you could try using the source code for that.
