Internet cafe bussiness

Hey guys! I was thinking about some job I could do that isn't so physically or mentally exhausting like my current job. So I was thinking what could be better than saving up some money to start an internet cafe bussiness. But I am really wondering are internet cafes still popular? Will I be able to make a living you think? I know in my area at the moment there aren't any internet cafes at least not like any decent ones. There were some couple of years back but they all closed down after a while. So I am thinking now is this investment worth it? What are your guys ideas on this subject. Thanks in advance

I don't think. Somebody opened an internet caffee in our town, tried to organize CS:GO and LoL tournaments monthly but still closed after 3 months. Almost everybody has an PC home and internet caffee's prices are overrated + you have to invest a lot of money. Not worth in my opinion.

It's not very profitable. And also it's very exhausting to own a place. You need lots of paperwork and will always run into unexpected problems. look for a business that doesn't require a physical place

Internet cafes are a bad business idea even in India, so i'm not very confident that it would fare well in the states.

Internet cafes are only good in places where space is limited AKA a large city. Would you say you live in the suburbs or in a city like New York/Boston? Do you have business experience? Even then, you might not pull profit for years. Gaming cafes work well in Asia because hardware there is cheaper and no one owns gaming PCs. Internet cafes here are more of a business of passion, definitely not a lucrative one.

Nope. As a side investment, it'd be fine but don't consider it a source of your main income.

The internet cafes in Australia only survive because it's a place for people to form LAN tournaments but the real money comes from the food and drinks they sell (overpriced) and not the actual rates to access the service.

As such, if customers aren't going to buy the food/drinks, they'll end up just closing down since they cannot maintain all the computers they have and the bills they pay for (electricity, internet etc).

I don't know what else I could do that's not really exhausting. I need some legal stable job... Anything that would have to do with computers or gaming would be perfect.. any ideas?

Youre better off learning how to fix computers and maybe interning under a shop.

I know how to fix computers and I like that. But there are so many repair shops around here that offer a lot more services than fixing computers... like installing cameras setting up tv antennas and all this shit. I doubt I could compete.

I don't think that job can achieve success because there is a big company already, people more buying than repairing, to be honest, if some of my components die now, I will purchase new, because repair will be expensive and it's questionable is that going to happen again... I think this business is hard.

How do you expect to compete with that mindset? The point is to learn under someone so you can take their skills and apply them to your own work. If you know how to fix computers you can fix other hardware, they all end back to a PCB board.

Depends. There is a market for that, people have shops fixing iphones and apple products because its more cheaper to fix it than a buy a brand new mac or iphone.

I think that the investment followed by the electricity bills, computer equipment breaking etc. will be heavier than your profits. Not worth as it's 2019 and the majority has their own PCs.

i highly doubt this is gonna be profitable at all

besides you need biiiig money to start that
if you had those resources you prob wouldnt need to work that much anyway
