Lightbulb SteamID spoofing by changing memory values?

I was wondering do you think that it would be possible to change your SteamID in RAM before it gets sent to the server? So you could change it from your SteamID to an admin's SteamID. I was messing around with this earlier, but it would crash the game because I could not change the values all at once. Maybe if you had a script that would do it for you, or maybe I was looking in the wrong process.

this used to be a thing on cs:source if I recall

I was using cheatengine to change the values on a vac banned account and then connect to secure servers and rage for ~5 minutes

it'd kick you with no user logon errors after so many minutes... it might work what with GMod being source engine, but I can't remember if there was some kind of conversion for the SteamID or if it was just the characters at the end, ie STEAM_0:1:xxxxxx

edit: this was also back in like 2007 though
