Windows 7 ultimate problem

Hey guys, i just installed the windows 7 ultimate, and i downloaded crossfire, updated it, so than i start the game, and my ping is 270+ and fps about 10-23,
i check that all the MSN and other stuff programs closed, for safty i restarted my PC than tried again, and it was the same .

please help me,and i dont use antivirus while i am playing
btw my graphic card is Nvidia GeForce 8500gt 1gb.
and befor i installed the windows 7 i had XP and i had fine ping
also before i started installing windows 7 i stupiedly opend my spamm mail box, and downloaded a word file, and opend it, than the file dissaperd and it showed up on my desktop that my system is infected

I think your computer is infected with virus, there's no problem using antivirus while playing online-- use the NOD32, it's low memory consumption. I'm using windows 7 too, and with NOD32 antivirus running.

Sounds like a virus i suggest ccleaner It fixes your registry and cleans you computer of all unwanted files for free +rep if i helped

most likely virus use a cleaner

it can be caused with net strength ..... i have 4Mb/s and i got like 150 - 240 ping ... and a guy with 22Mb/s have 20 ping :>

not really that true that if you have 22mb/s that you have 20 ping its more like 30 mb/s

i will try to help firstly have you inwstalled drivers for your graphics card??
secondly download malbytes antimalware free edition and scan your pc
but you definatkey need to install drivers for your graphics card

what kind of drivers? i got my Nvida GeForce driver updated

Its not an virus.

it could be a problem with ur window 7.

if u had vista at first and upptadet to window 7.

i mean that its some things left of the vista that cause that u lagg i also got that prob.

i just re installed my whole cpu i deleted everything that was named vista and then installed my windows 7.

and my ping went from 350 to 60-120
