Hello, first post here. So I use some cheat to give myself bloodpoints (2 times less than one million) because I was bored to re grind all I had on ps4. I played a bit after but got bored so I didn’t play for a whole year. Now that cross save is out, I liked my ps account to my steam’s, but kinda scared to be ban, because even if I got a big account (+500h on ps4), I modified bloodpoints on my steam save. What do you think ?

I had injected a profile with some random stuff (cakes etc.) few years back, once cross save came out, I linked my Steam account with Xbox account, and I got banned within few days or weeks on both platforms.

Once I contacted BHVR, the reply was:

"we found significant evidence indicating account/game progression has been tampered with. This is in direct violation of our End User License Agreement, which can be found here: https://deadbydayligh*****m/eula

The ban on the account was issued for breaking our rules, and so access to our in-game features, including but not limited to online play, has been permanently suspended for this account.

Per your request, upon receiving this appeal, our team has reviewed the account again. Due to altering the account/in-game progression and the nature of this violation, the permanent suspension of in-game features, including but not limited to online play, will remain. The ban on the account will not be lifted under any circumstances. This decision is final.

Please note that we do not offer roll-backs or erasures of your progression in exchange for being unbanned.''

I wonder. Did you ever spend money in the game on DLCs/battle pass or anything?
Because there is a lot of people including me that actually spent money ingame and modified save files and we luckily never got banned even after merging accounts.

Yes, I've spent a lot of money on both my Xbox and Steam account.

Shoot that sucks man. I'm sorry. If it makes you feel any better, the game's glory days is long over. Every single match is maximum sweat whether you are killer or survivor. As someone who was there day 1, the game was really magical when it came out but it's coming up on its 10th year anniversary and there hasn't been any new content in years except crossovers. The community is burning out hard and it's simply not fun anymore, maybe we will get some competition soon.

pretty unlucky, i merged my epic and steam account together which both were injected with over 2000 items on each character and I'm still not banned till this day.

Also, On this topic too. I have use the OG save injection method back in 2020 I believed so (checking my old activity show that my last post is 2020, or else I don't remember). I believed I have given myself 1200+ every Item, unlock all perk up to that time even thou I have zero DLC character. Back then I really try to dig deep and try to unlock free DLC character but I can't so I stop messing with save injection and happy with the result. Fast forward to when they about to remove Demo, I got fomo and boot up the game to buy the stranger thing DLC. And my account wasn't Ban back then. Fast forward 1 last time to 2025 and my account still standing and those item/add-on still at 1200+. But something bothering me, I have alot- and I mean TONS of retired Item/add-on that just sit in my loadout. I just want to get rid of them but the OG method for tampering with save file is no longer work. Chat....how will I do it, I'm suffering from success
