Guide into pointers o__O
Hai, bored, kthxbai...

So we take a random game, and we've found a pointer to something interesting.
our pointer: 0x13333337
0x13333337 points to some random location, and that location points to the interesting '3v1l h4x'.

To access the value of the '3v1l h4x':
Code:
unsigned long *baseptr = (unsigned long*)0x13333337;
unsigned long *evilptr = *(unsigned long*)baseptr;
unsigned long evilvalue = *evilptr;
to change the value:
Code:
*evilptr = 1337;
STRUCTURZ
Code:
struct GAYFAG
{
int age;
bool male;
bool homo;
float sizeofpen0r;
};
We know its located at 0x0B4DF00D.

Code:
GAYFAG *verygayfag = (GAYFAG*)0x0B4DF00D;
verygayfag->sizeofpen0r = 0.0f;
verygayfag->male = true;
verygayfag->homo = true;
verygayfag->age = 12;
Code:
bool fag = true; //normal bool
bool *pFag = &fag; //pointer to bool, and it is initialized to contain a pointer to fag
k?
Very nice Hell_Demon.

Shouldn't you include the reference operator as well?
this is nice but. the best option is reading a book
Loled at the syntax
anyway how bout readwrite protect and permissions

I never had the need to use them ^^

Do you really need to cast it o_O? seems redundant.

Well yep, if you want 4 bytes from memory using an unsigned char* won't help much :P
PDWORD a;
a = Pointer to dword
*a = DWORD;
so if u wanted *a as a pointer you'd need to cast it.
