I honestly think PB should be listed under "spyware" with all spyware scanners. Its spyware none the less, intrusion to make a profit.

Yeah it should be...dam assholes scanning my freaking harddrive full of personal(*cough*) Stuff!!!

That's why I hate PB, always searching on your computer...
They should take GameGuard, or better, no anti cheat system..!!

stupid punkbuster but you can put all of your hacks in a flash drive and only use them when you play

They got caught by my virus scan and since then they haven't been able to get onto my computer anymore. If your virus scan detects it just stick it into the vault or whatever your virus scan does with detected projects. Then it automatically stops any system that looks or has the same data as PB gets sent to vault or delete as soon as it is detected.

PB is horrible and as I have posted recently they definitely are scanniing computers. They should be removed.

I don't think it's technically spyware, because it needs to acquire personal information without your knowledge to be called that. And technically, if you read the EULA you are aware it will do that. That doesn't make it a good system though.

It's pretty much a debate of how much power an EULA has. If the EULA said punkbuster has the right to send people to my house and steal my computer without a reason, would that be okay? Stealing is against the law, but it's not really stealing if you agree to it, right?

That second thing happened to a friend of mine too. He was running WinAntiVirus Pro (crappy virus software, lol) while playing WarRock, and PB silently deleted it from his computer, then told him about it after it finished.

My Ticket Question:
Why am I not allowed to own and run Process Guard on my system? This is a legit security software program. Now for no reason after a decade of playing games and NEVER cheating I am not allowed to play on line games that have punk buster installed?

The solution is not to Blacklist security software that finds flaws in your software. I should not have to choose between having a secure computer and playing a game on line. You need to take a look at how to work around this because myself and many other are caught up in this crap and we should not have to be. We paid good money for some of these games and being told we have to remove other software from our computer thats sole purpose is not meant to cheat in games is not right.

Process guard works, and that is the problem. Using it, you can deny PB access to check your system for hacks. You can even deny PB access to see if PG is running, so we have to take it the next step, and make sure it is not even installed. When you agreed to our EULA, you stated that the benifit of cheat free gaming out weighed system security. You cannot have a secure system, and also allow PB full access to verify your system. They are mutually exclusive.

This means that PunkBitch does not give a shit about us and our security as long as they get their money and do more business.

I'm getting really sick of this PunkBuster Bullshit!
