since january windows has been asking me for my product key. I usually ignore it but then it shut down the computer and then i realized i had to fix it. My Operating system is legit not torrented or pirated or anything, so i typed in the product key and it said that it was fake or something??? i dont remember.

i called dell which are the makers of alienware and i asked them why windows was asking for the product key and i told the guy that i had wiped my entire computer like 4 days before windows was asking me for the Product key.

He told me that while i was re installing the operating system something may have gone wrong thats why it was still asking em for a product key so he told me that i had to reinstall the operating system but first i had to backup my entire hardrive luckily i had an external hardrive that had never been used before so i connected it to my computer i backed up all my files but acting like the retard i was i forgot to install the software for the hard drive and instead i used windows back up .....
It gets worst instead of reinstalling the oprating system with the guy i reinstalled it my self and accidentally forgot to delete the partition that had the old operating system
yes i realize i was acting like and impatient bastard now i connect it to my compuyter today to backup my files and now idk what to do
IS THERE A WAY TO BACK UP THE ENTIRE PARTITIONS THAT I DELETED AND ALSO BACK UP MY FILES AFTER REINSTALLING VISTA
MY VERSION of VISTA is LEGIT
IM DOING C++ and visual basic AND I HAVE SO MANY PROJECTS THAT HAVENT BEEN COMPELETED THAT I NEED BACK SO PLZ HELP
