Steam names

Hi, i cant stand steam and there names... can someone please explain how the names work? i know about the colors, i mean the difference between in-game names, and the account names, and just names on peoples signatures on MPGH. How do i add them to my freinds list, because i can never find them...

MW2 Name to add = Your steam account name, But some people are too stupid to understand that.

Battlefield name = Battlefield character name, Not account e-Mail

im not that stupid, and i may be blind.... how do you add a name? i always try to search then add, but it doesnt work.... (trust me, im not an idiot, i cant navigate through steam)

Hey, I wasn't saying you were stupid, I said some people were.

You click your friends list, It pops-up, And below your friends there is an "Add A Friend Button".
