The big 3*

Well, i'm Making this thread for the shonen 3
-Naruto
-Bleach
-One Piece

Vote on your favorite and explain why.

Mine is ONE PIECE:

-Well i like one piece primarily because its a stereotypical shonen anime where the characters EVOLVE. Each character's "power" is different and it could be called "genetic", and the character evolves it, unlike naruto and bleach where they merely poses an item or new technique. The randomness of this series is always fun, and the story line is basically an "epic" type of tale. Instead of a DBZ brawler(N&B).

-Another thing i like in this show a lot is the "Hand-to-Hand" fighting style. Rarely do i see this nowadays. Bleach has this sword fetish, and naruto has a "magic". But i like hand combat. That sword stuff is ok, but when every fucking person has one, its kinda bland.

-The animation could use some work, but honestly, out of the 3, it has the least fillers. With the exception of the sky ark, every "boss battle" i've seen has been pretty damn good. The manga helps me FF parts so its actually not that long.

-Lastly i like the "7". The original characters STAY in the game. They don't have someone fucking go around on side quest or battle minor characters, pretty much all of them are as important as Luffy.(which is more than i can say for Naruto which has a shitload of ninja's but only like 3-4 ever battle consistently. And bleach just has everyone fight a minor character every fucking time.)

I'd say Bleach just because it's the first anime that i watched. Not really into techniques n shit that come out of nowhere (Naruto), but it's still a pretty good anime cos of the characters. Never watched one piece before.

One Piece, for the reasons my sexbud Empire said plus the one pelow.

-It actually has a story, you can see where it is going. It's not made of arcs like Bleach. It's not like one arc is over, there's a different story with the same characters, but there's one long story with different chapters.

Well yea, Bleach's fillers are ridiculously long and come out at the worst possible time. Finally this filler about "sword fiends" is finally over.
i might start watching one piece though, since Dattebayo started subbing as of this week.
Also, how can you guys stand the fact that you know the main character is going to survive every battle?
And by main characters i mean Ichigo, Naruto and Luffy only.

In seinen and even in more mature sho (shonen) the main character rarely lives..... Elfen Lied, Kuroshitsuji, etc.

Bleach is repetitive and has minimal character development.

One Piece, pretty much for the reasons you and matt said.

Also because out of the three One Piece also has the best voices and associated dubs in my opinion, where each character has a unique personality, instead of slight variations of the monotone acting "badass" voice.

Plus One Piece also has characters which scream epic (Whitebeard), and they are also integral to the storyline instead of just popping in every now and then just to make an ep seem good and exciting (Kenpachi Zaraki, Bleach)

Not really. The exciting bit is seeing character development, not just watching to see who wins in a fight.

In Bleach, the bad guy might seem to have the upper hand but they always get trolled by Ichigo who ends up pulling some resolve out of his ass.

I know but if it's someone like Ulquiorra, who is obviously stronger than ichigo even without his second form, you know that Ichigo will pull out some bullshit hacks out of nowhere and kick his slimy green ass.
Also, i hate manga readers who enjoy spoiling..

I love spoiling. But it ends up being so predictable anyways. Another reason why One Piece is the best. It ain't as predictable.

bleach is like super-predictable.

I like one piece because its an epic, not a dbz ripoff.
