How does a HW Ban work?

I thought it could just be banning the HDD ID, but its obviously alot more then that, Could someone please explain.

Ugh, I'm not HW banned I'm just curious how it works.

its just some files and ur hhd id

if u buy a new pc u can play warrock or any punkbuster game

Are you sure, Because if that was true it would take two seconds to bypass HW Ban. There must be more, I heard is like Network drives, and stuff like that.

Simply, disable it knowledg of other paths(except for C:\Program Files\Warrock) and spoof the HHD ID.

dude... he is trying to figure out a way to get passed it w/o spending 500 bucks on a new comp *cough* my laptop was 1k and i dun wanna get HW banned :-/ (vista home premium)

Fux, why is everyone talking about HW if they either have to find a way past or by a new HD, Pirate there OS and save backed up files. I doubt i'll find a solution but I will try to bypass it from finding the correct HDD ID.
